Build A Bear In Roseville?

IoScrittore # 20 - Guest on "incomplete" # 1 -> # 10

The "incomplete". So it has been dubbed, among much controversy, the novel Vanity of shooting stars during the participation in the finals of the tournament organized by the Group literary IoScrittore Mauri Spagnol. In the face of a regulation which provided for a maximum of 400000 beats The vanity of falling stars it has 600,000. I must say that, considering the hatred that is breathed, the novel has held up well. Right of exclusion. Faithfully reflects the top ten of the twenty reviews received, this time accompanied by numeric value:

# 1 Literary work done, even though "incomplete" because the ending was cut because of the number of beats set by regulation. I liked the subject matter, and sought to correct the language, for descriptions and dialogues, which have made me happy to read, curious of the final is not there.
Rating: 9

# 2 Discreet.
Rating: 7

Style # 3 Interestingly, the time shifts are interesting but the manuscript is too long ... long-winded and, according to the author, there still would be! The writer should also have a strong gift of synthesis, and know how to use them when necessary. Here it seems to assist in the drafting of the Bible! Furthermore, more like a treatise on physics and explanations of scientific concepts often are forced. Exhausting.

# 4 The work seems valid. There is a nice texture and form is good. It is also an interesting combination of the various narrative threads (there are more points of view and time of narration). I do not feel, however, to express an opinion, because the work is not complete. As confirmed by the author on the last page (here), the novel as a whole exceeds - by far - the maximum extent permitted by regulation. Besides the fact that so you can not evaluate the work as a whole, the maximum length was meant not so much limit the number of characters / pages / folders to be read, but the overall length of labor by which the same was be concluded. In other words, this does not meet the admission criteria and has taken the opportunity to work in order to compete. (I did not intention to give a numerical assessment, but the system forces us ...)
Score: 1

# 5 The story is exciting, but at times feels more like a science fictional article for those less accustomed to the technicalities of a narrative story.
Rating: 6

# 6 very gifted author who enjoys construct sentences using adjectives and descriptive parts often that they tend to appensantire periods too penalizing pace and pathos. Individual episodes are ill Amalga with the mainstream of the story. To be reviewed.

# 9 After graduating in astronomy Lucrezia Ubaldi partly Esterville to go to visit an aunt, and gives a necklace with a pendant consists of a blue stone. The same jewelry is worn by his ancestor in a disturbing picture. Many years before, in the same village, a beautiful young girl is brutally murdered and the murderer the tears from his neck a chain with a pendant similar to what the star has returned to her aunt. The book also features a stowaway in a ship, but no one understands his role. The story is very fragmented and the episodes are apparently unconnected. The jewelry with stone from unexpected properties are the leitmotif of the whole affair. The various stories that are intertwined - very distant in time and place - are not well understood, or you can not find the link that exists between the players, since you do not know the conclusion of the novel. In this regard it should be noted that at this stage of the tournament you participate with the complete works, so it is difficult to give an objective opinion on the novel "incomplete." It would have been appropriate for the author, to be fair, had changed his work, to make it compatible with the terms of the regulation. The book is written in a language correctly appropriate. The descriptions sometimes become too slow and therefore monotonous.
